Strong health leadership and governance across the three spheres of government are vital to institutionalise new policies and approaches under the federal system.NHSSP3 is improving the stewardship of the health sector through better formulated and implemented policies, acts, standards, guidelines and regulations, - Coverage and Quality Assurance (C&Q)
NHSSP3 aims for sustainable quality assurance and improvement processes to be institutionalised at all levels. This includes increased access to quality basic health care services and emergency obstetric and newborn care, particularly for the poor and disadvantaged. - Data for Decision Making (D4D)
As governance and management of the health system expands into different spheres, it is strategically important to bring together the multiple sources of data. The significance of data as a health system building block is well established, but for Nepal the challenge goes beyond improving the quality and timeliness of data. - Health Infrastructure (HI)
HI will strengthen planning processes at sub-national level, incorporating multi-hazard resilience and ‘leave no one behind’ perspectives, while demonstrating value for money in delivery of health facilities.
